From the frozen edge of Prudhoe Bay, Alaska to the windswept shores of Patagonia, our journey spans two continents and nearly 50,000 miles of raw, untamed terrain. To meet the demands of this epic overland expedition, we’ve hand-built three unique Toyota Land Cruisers, each engineered for a different leg of the adventure snow, sand, jungle, and everything in between. Every stretch of the road brings new challenges, and each vehicle is a reflection of the terrain it’s built to conquer. Curious what we’re planning next? Mexico "Central Heat"
Leaving the U.S. behind, we head deep into the heart of Baja California—where salt flats, cactus forests, and coastal cliffs frame every mile. The Sea of Cortez and Pacific Ocean will guide us as we tackle off-road trails, meet local communities, and experience rich Mexican culture. From there, we plunge into the vibrant mosaic of Central America—through Guatemala’s volcanic highlands, El Salvador’s surf coast, Honduras’ jungle-covered peaks, and into the cloud forests of Costa Rica and Panama. It’s a dynamic, immersive journey filled with ancient ruins, tropical heat, and border crossings that test both vehicle and crew.
TRIP DETAILSAlaska "Cold Start"
From the icy edge of the Arctic Ocean in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, to the sunbaked border town of Tecate, Mexico—this leg is the ultimate North American overland test. We’ll traverse over 4,000 miles of raw, untamed wilderness, winding through the Dalton Highway’s permafrost, down through Alaska’s majestic ranges, across the towering Canadian Rockies, and into the rugged backcountry of the American West. Expect blizzards, black bear sightings, glacial rivers, and some of the most remote stretches of road on the continent before reaching the desert landscapes of the southwest. This is where endurance meets exploration.

Crossing the Darién Gap into South America, this leg takes us from Colombia's emerald valleys through the spine of the Andes and deep into the soul of the continent. We’ll wind through high-altitude deserts in Peru, salt flats in Bolivia, the vast pampas of Argentina, and the windswept glaciers of Patagonia. From coffee farms and ancient Incan paths to river crossings and rain-soaked mountain passes, South America delivers every terrain imaginable. The journey culminates at the southernmost drivable point on Earth—Ushuaia, Argentina—where land meets Antarctic sea.

Baja California Edition
We took a 1991 Land Cruiser FJ80 on an unforgettable journey down the rugged roads of Baja California. Our destination? A remote volcanic peninsula that juts into the Pacific Ocean, offering some of the most dramatic coastal views imaginable. With each mile, the Land Cruiser proved its worth—crawling over rocks, weaving through cactus-lined trails, and kicking up dust on empty beaches. The final campsite sat atop ancient lava rock, surrounded by crashing waves and absolute silence. It was more than a road trip—it was a test of machine, will, and wild beauty.

BAJA NORTE
Up here, the land doesn’t welcome you—it tests you. Baja California Norte is raw, unfiltered, and full of stories whispered through wind-beaten arroyos and rusting fence posts. We took the ‘91 Land Cruiser FJ80 across its unforgiving spines, past forgotten ranches, and along cliffs that dared us to look down. This isn’t the place for shortcuts or certainty. It's where the roads end and the adventure begins, and where only the stubborn—or the free—keep driving.
BAJA SUR
Cross the invisible line and everything changes. Baja Sur isn’t louder, it’s deeper—a place where cactus forests tumble into sapphire coves and ancient mountains guard secrets older than roads. The FJ80 rolled through it like it belonged, its engine echoing against canyons and coastlines that felt untouched by time. Here, we found colors more vivid, silences more sacred, and a version of ourselves we didn’t know we were chasing. Baja Sur isn’t a destination—it’s a transformation.
ENSENADA
First light over the port, last gas before the wild. Ensenada gave us tacos, diesel, and warnings—most of which we ignored. With the 1991 FJ80 rumbling beneath us, we left pavement for promise, chasing dust trails and salt air. This isn’t the Cabo cruise scene. This is the edge of the familiar, and the first real test of whether you're ready to leave comfort behind.
SAN FELIPE
San Felipe feels like a mirage that decided to stay. Cactus shadows stretch across dry earth, and the Sea of Cortez flickers like a dream. We pulled in with our all-original ‘91 FJ80, cracked open cold drinks, and watched the sun melt into the water. You don’t come here for crowds—you come here to hear your own thoughts again.
LORETO
Loreto wears its age with pride—cracked church bells, cobblestone streets, and quiet plazas that haven’t rushed in decades. We parked the Cruiser beneath a palm and wandered through time, imagining mule caravans and mission trails. It’s a town built for the traveler, not the tourist. Stay long enough, and it feels like the past might invite you in.
PUERTO AGUA VERDE
If maps were honest, they’d leave this place blank. Agua Verde isn’t a dot—it’s a reward. A crumbling road winds through canyons and cliffs, spitting you out into a hidden cove kissed by turquoise waters and time. The FJ80 clawed its way in like it knew this was its kind of terrain. We camped in silence, far from signal, where the stars felt so close they whispered secrets.
